Hi!

This is propably dumb question, but i have tried to look answer to this.

I have 8 bars long sample. Is it possible to set loop to 6 bars and move
to next sequence without sample playing to end? With "note on" command
it would be done, but i would like learn the right way straight from beginning. Off course I could slice sample to the right length, but I'm needing the whole sample in other seq.

Why not chop it into 8 pieces. you can set the bars to what ever length you want (6) it will clip the last 2 bars, only thing with that is it may not clip at the end of the 6 cause actually its a 4 bar loop that sounds like a 2 bar loop. look for subtle differences in the beat. it could also be one of those fluctuating tempo songs. however it can be done, try it. also try using mute groups if the sample continues to play

Actually i wanna sequences to make a loop together. 1. seq 6bar and 2. seq 2bar. But I think I trie to solve that with slicing.

What's wrong with note on? Set the duration of the loop to 2304 (6 bars) in step edit and you're there.

Another method:
set voice overlap to mono
in step edit: copy the note to 006.04.95, change velocity to 1.

The step edit way was just what I was looking for.

Othewise I have learned basics pretty well, but step edit has left little bit on to shadow.
