i just got a 1k and it cool but yeah the pads like double tap or flam all the time can someone help me

I've been experiencing this recently as well. I think it has a lot to do with technique. You have to hit the pad the right way, it seems you have to take your strike and back off rather quickly.

make sure you dont rest your finger tip on the pad right after hitting it. your finger bounces off and causes double trigger. lift your finger as you would a real drum.

there is nothing wrong with the mpc, your just a newbie. I would like to point at you and laugh. ha ha ha ha

go into program mode hit paramaters change all your pads to mono instead of poly and you should be cool

This is bad work-around. What if you want a polyphonic sample on a pad? And on top of that, you'll still get 'double hits' even with a pad set to mono.
As others have said, this is just a matter of practice. I had the same problem when I first got the MPC, but after a while you get used to how to play the pads so that this doesn't happen.
