mpc setup..?

i recently got a 1k....i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how i could set it up wid my other shit? i got m-box 2,an 8 channel mixer,a motif rack and of course a midi controller....atm ive got the motif signals going into the mpc then im sequencing in pro tools....what other ways could i set this shit up together and what does everyone think is the best way? thankz in advance........

I don't know why you'd sequence with protools when you have an mpc...

This is how I'd prolly hook up your midi...
hook your midi controller into your mpc, hook the midi out of your mpc into your motif. Hook the midi out of protools into your mpc (to recieve midi clock).
That should do your midi...

for the audio I'd hook everything into your mixer, hook your mixer into protools or something like that... maybe have an aux send go to your mpc input.

i do sequence in the mpc first then when the tracks are finished i take them into pro tools but yeh thats how i got it setup atm except i dont have a midi cable running from pro tools into the mpc...im guessing that will sync the 1k and pro tools somehow rite? and how would that help exactly? thanks for ur help by the way....

if you have your mpc sync'd to protools, you can record tracks one at a time for mixing without having to manually line them up. But the mpc needs to be slaved to PT for this to work.

ok.....sorry to be a ballbreaker dude but can u tell me how to do that? i got the midi out on pro tools going into my midi in on the mpc...now how do i adjust the settings so there in sync? pro tools? mpc? or both? ive never synced two machines before so this shit is all new to me...... thankz again for ur help....
