RE: Running MPC 1K w/ Mackie 1402-VLZ PRO

Is anyone out there running an MPC 1000 with a Mackie 1402-VLZ PRO?

What's the best way to set up these two surfaces together?

I used to have that setup.
I used to have it set so that when I muted a channel, it went out through the 3-4 outputs on the back to record. I used to have it so that all the outputs were connected to the mixer but since I still had to track 1 track at time I just used the stereo outs. The advantage of having all the outs hooked up to the mixer is that you can control the levels hands on through the mixer. But its only 4 outs so its really not worth it.
