turntable to mpc

im saving for tables right now but i want to start sampling now, i want to know if its ok to connect one table straight to the mpc or does it need to be connected to a dj mixer 1st ? (i want to get 1 table now so i can start sampling)

If the table doesnt have an onboard preamp then u will need to connect it to a dj mixer, regular mixer, or preamp then connect the outs from whichever one u choose to the MPC RECORD IN for sampling.

ok then, i noticed this turntable has digital output:

does that mean i dont need to purchase a mixer to run it through since the mpc as digital in ?

if you'r only gonna be sampling with your tt, i suggest getting the cheapest one you can find (that still is used for dj esq purposes so you can backspin to get back to samples you heard and want to sample) and a phono preamp (those are real cheap)

if you're scratching, go nicer and get a mixer.
i use the shttiest tt to sample from, running into 2 dj mixers (from one to another) with one giving a little overdrive, the other a little EQ. my samples are filthy and hot to color even more the 1k's otherwise fairly neutral (nothing special) converters.
