MPC 1 K WITH SOUND FORGE

Now i use 2 use my mpc and cubase sx to record...but When my computer messed up i lost my sx...........So now that i got soundforge i decided to try it out cause i already do it to chop my samples............if any of u guys have used sound forge to record from ur mpc, how do u guys like it?or feel about it?

its recording software. i mean it does what it does. i bought a llight version of soundforge, and wasnt impressed. but it should work fine to record your tracks. why couldnt you just reinstall cubase? oh yeah...

cause i had a link where i d/l it it from..but when my comp got messed up i lost my version and the link died

nope i do all my choppping in my 1000, much quicker and chopping and rearranging a 2 bar loop into 16 pieces is quick..... workflow, at least for me, is pretty quick..

i prefer to stay away from the computer until the sketch or skeleton is done..

i used to use audacity, but after i found out how to chop using the shift < arrow i never chopped wiht the computer again hahaha, its pretty simple and free best of all, its similar to soundforge, minus the dx plug ins and whatnot....

I just got it to work im using audacity AND IM REALLY FEELING THIS SYSTEM....i got it to record,but why doesnt it show what its recording as far as showing the waves,like when the beat hits on certain instruments hit?since im new 2 this still i hear alot of hissing and not very clear u guys got any tips on how to fix it?or should i just figure it out haha

P.S i chop on the mpc as well all i do on the computer is cut the piece i want into 1 big one and cossfade or anything lil like that and send it to my mpc instead of the whole track
