im running into a situation that i have not been able to figure out...

when trying to load some samples, i get a message that says "wrong file!!" the samples are all .wav format. some seem to work and some dont.

any idea's people?

the mpc 1000 only reads 16 bit samples. make sure that the samples you are using are 16 bit. if they arent, run them through a wave editor and render them to 16 bit. if you dont have a wave editor, you can use goldwave. its only a demo, but it has a good length demo period and it does batch conversions, meaning you can drop a whole folder of samples in it and render them at once.

thanks for the help. i completely forgot about the bitrate of the samples. i ran a batch on them and everythng is golden.

ive used Goldwave (very solid program) in the past but ive chosen to stick with soundforge on the pc and audacity on the mac... gotta stick with whats comfortable.
