MPC & Midi Question

Happy Holidays all.

I'm a n00b here and I don't have an MPC. But, I'm really considering an MPC1000 w/ JJ OS. I use an Electribe ESX right now. My question is:
Can you hook up a midi controller like the Evolution X-Session and map the knobs to different parameters on the MPC for live tweaking?

This question has been asked many times, but as of the latest operating systems that are available for the machine, the answer is still no.
