samples loading and sounding SUPER fast?

I've loaded some converted samples (converted to 16 bit)... they play perfect on my pc, but when I load them into the mpc, they're super fast, and super high pitched. Am I dong something wrong? Thanks for any help.

Sounds like the sample rate is off, as in not 44.1 kHz. It´s not just the bit depth that needs correction while adjusting samples to the MPC 1000.
