Not sure if u own the manual but u should atleast start wit dat. Read through it and apply what it tells u. Then if u are still confused then ask questions. That helps u to get more knowledgable about music/gear. But um ne ways check da links below and then come back wit questions. I'd be more than happy to help BUT only AFTER u have atleast used one or two of the links provided. Trust me i'll know if u used them or not.

dont really understand your question. you want to sample keyboards with your mpc? or do you mainly want to use it as a sequencer/drum machine to trigger the rest of your equpt? you will find that its not as difficult as it may seem to use the mpc 1000 infact it really easy as long as you spend some time, get down and start "feeling it out". I just started sampling records and sequenced them with the drum sounds inside the unit . Try and mess with the "Trim" function because this is your main tool and you will use it alot.Save everything you like .build on them. tutorial dvds also help fastrack ur learning. good luck.
