How Do I Cut A Previous Sample Off When Pressing Another Pad

Example:


I press pad 1, sample plays, quickly press pad2....pad1 is still playing and they mix into each other or w.e. u know what i mean....can someone help me with this

Highlight program in the main screen

press the window button

select the pad your useing buy pressing it

then press the window button again (but make sure the sound you want is highlighted)

then simply change layer 1 to "note on"

Once you do this it should only play the sound for as long as you press the pad

...or u can use mute groups, if you want samples to cut each other off assign them the same mute number or assign the same mute number to a dead pad and whenever you want the sample to stop hit the dead pad or change it from poly to mono and as aforementioned works too, but i hate having to hold down the pad it never stops where i want it to, might be user error!
