Does the Numark pt-01 need a dj mixer or can u just plug in the back of the mpc and start recording samples?

No it doesnt need a dj mixer b/c it has an built in preamp.
Yes u can connect it directly to your MPC.
Just try it already if u have that particular TT.

well i have a m1 and 1/4in cables can i connect that into mpc? what about a kick drum

I would have thort that you can plug it straight into the back of your MPC provided the connections are right. All modern wax spinners come with a built in amplifier so u'll be fine. No wuckin furries me old mucka.
