How do you keep your house clean

How do all you save songs and pgms and what not? Don't get me wrong, I know how to save, but it gets messy on the memory card and sometimes hard to remember which pgm goes with which sequence and song. I had a computer lonnnnng before my mpc so it takes some getting use to. (Just got my first mpc this week by the way)

Do you save each new "gem" in a seperate folder?

i used wireless transmitters and receivers on every peice of gear i own. you can always use conduit. just remember to dust, sweep and mop at least every few days.

I create a folder for each song, I place ALL the samples, pgm, aps, all, mid and everything else associated with that song in that same folder. When the next song comes up I do it all over again except in a different folder. Any "cleaning" further than that is on a personal basis. IMO that is the minimum organization needed to keep your songs seperate and straightened.

Same on a computer, no different. :lol:

that's some new 44post smart @#$$% ignore him ,Lampdog is right save your files this way all the time and never have a problem. 8)

Also with the "cleaning" some people get bothered cause they start to have mulitple copies of the same samples for different songs in different folders all on the same floppy/ zip/ cf or sd card. It doesn't bother me at all cause I see that as nit picking when I should be more focued on getting the song what it needs to take shape and spread it's wings. I store my samples on ext/int pc hard drive anyway.

That hit the nail on the head Lampdog. I thought I was doing something wrong by making multiple copies of samples. I thought I missed something. Well if it works that way I have know problem with that. Thanks!!!
