a service manual would be more than i expected.
just the schematic as a pdf would be fine.
any chance to get one?
do you think jj has one? normaly he must.

Obviously the manufacturer has schematics -- why don't you ask them?
Seems like a more logical place to start than some lowly user group, especially for a machine that's still relatively new from a company that's still in business.
They may not give you anything because they want to keep control over who performs service with company provided information, which explains Nym's interaction with VST -- an official Akai service center.
Even if you got some renegade tech to send you one I'm not sure what good it will do you depending on your needs. The last three MPC products aren't much more than a display, some drives and a bunch of mechanical controls all wired into DSP. If it isn't something obvious like a dead pad, damaged pc board, bent connector pin etc. It's probably going to require hooking the thing up to specialized diagnostic test equipment (via that header pin connector in the memory slot, say) and to use that you either need access to an authorized service station's lab or $$$$$$$ -- almost certainly more $$$$$$$ than it would cost you to just send the thing in for factory service.
