samples in the mpc

hi guy i need help with this problem

am trying to play samples that i loaded up in the mpc 1000
i cant find it , or am not saving it the right way
i droped a folder in the mpc driver when it poped up in my computer
the folder has like 40 samplesl,

i go to my main window and change the track and i also cant find it
and i change the program and i cant find nothing

please help

expanding on this, you have to load the samples into the MPC's internal memory from the card before you will see the files available to the OS....

this is the problem iwant to add my samples to my mpc
that i have in my mac, so i draged my files from my mac to
my mpc driver.now i want to add my own program
and name my program and pick what sounds i want to
use. i been reading the menual and i cant figuer it out

am not being lazy i just need help i been trying to do this for 2and a half hours.. so please i need help with this

I too am having the same problem I've read the maunal and I cant seem to figure out how to do this. I loaded the sample sounds from my CF card and I pressed window and I was able to assign them to pads but when I go back to the main screen I dont find them please help.

Ok I figured it out (well my problem at least) and now I feel dumb.

What I did was first, I went to the load feature and loaded and assigned all the samples I wanted to use to pads. (MODE, Pad#2 LOAD, used the data wheel to find my samples and hit DO IT and assign to a pad)

I then went into the program feature and when I created and named my new program I had no problem finding my samples I loaded up from my CF card. (MODE Pad#7 PROGRAM, and it should be easy from there I read the program section in the manual to figure it out a little better) Now all I need is the memory upgrade so I can really get down to bizznaaazzz! thanks and I hope that helps u solve your problom also.

just a suggestion here...try an editing program to save to pads and save pgm...such as mpc pad 187 for the mac or Blue Box for the pc...oh one other note I like to save all my pgms in a folder...just in case I have a large kit that is spread out over more than 64pads...like drums, sweeps, samples, riffs blah blah blah...ex. Dre kit with 200 wavs...somethin' better out there let me know...I'm diggin the info on this site
