IS THERE A WAY FOR THE REC. BUTTON,TO HOLD . WITH OUT PRESSING PLAY WITH IT, SO I CAN TRIGGER,IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE?

Use a footswitch - i use one for overdubs - press the footswitch and overdub comes on - no pressing of play. much easier and doesn't disrupt workflow
