I cant quantize with reason 3 and mpc 1000 NOTES R OFF

OK i got both of them workin.Im using reason as a sound module and the mpc to sequence and program.I just wanna know how to quantize and get a count off when i record.When i try to quantize i get all these wierd numbers and it looks very confusing i hit the pad with the sound and it doesnt seem to do anything.I would also like a count off before im bout to record sumthin can someone please help.Everything i play is off and wont seem to get on beat i cant figure out how to get my reason sounds on beat with the 1000.its driving me nuts i tried everything i know someone please help
