mpc1000xl announced!

well not really, but Akai do have a surprise in store. I had a look inside my new baby to see how to upgrade the RAM

and there is an IDE type connector in there??

looking a bit further and I can see a DRIVE BAY - laptop size, who'd a thought it?

now if this connects with the USB that would be pretty sweet eh?

Maybe Akai have learnt from the MPC4000 not to announce shit in advance that isn't working yet....

I'll report on the RAM as soon as crucial get my stick delivered but this MPC1000 could be better than we thought...

fair enuff, didn't see your mail and I only just found it, anyway it looks like Mike Goins beat us both to it

I better be qwik about testing the RAM! :)
