For a little while I was confused by Q-link. I would assign filter to Q1 and tuning to Q2 and then wonder why my filter tweaks would not be heard after going back to Q1 from Q2. I spoke with Akai today and the gentleman on the phone told me that you should use Q1 for 1 pad and Q2 for another pad. I thought you could use them both on the same pad but no. Not a big deal. I could always copy the sound to another pad(new name required) and get busy tuning with Q2 on that one.

Also, you can't copy a sequence to it's self. I think people thought this was a bug but instead it is something you should handle under mode-seq edit.

Are there any dust covers out there for the MPC? Right now I am using a towel. Is that okay? Should I leave the MPC uncovered for an amount of time after powering down so as to let it cool down...then cover it up?

Don't use a towel. It acts as a filter and lets through very small particles.

how bout a tshirt????? i thought this was super gig worthy, would a little bit of dust even matter??? HEY .. if anyone does come across a worthy cover.. actually..speaking of which.. ill stop by GC and see what they have as far as tiny mixer covers go.. if igure thatll work best.. but yea.. whomever finds one first.. post model and make.. so we can all get one.. maybe even arrange a group buy ;)

the smaller the dust, the more places it can go and accumalate.

huh? No towel, cover, or tshirt will let through all the particles. And what I see of the mpc looks like a pretty sealed machine or it at least has air vents on the bottom maybe. Explain please :D
