Okay guys, here is my story. I picked up my MPC1000 from Guitar Center on Monday. 2 days later I go to cut the thing on & my LCD screen is blank. I take it Back to GC & this is what the guy said they did to reboot the OS. I dont think this is in the manual. Hold down the "erase" key while you turn the machine on. Once the machine is on, a screen will prompt you to do something. Just reply "No"and you're all set. I thought about getting my money back or just getting another one, but whose to say i won't have the same problem. I couldn't see myself going home without it because I love this machine. I haven't had any problems so far, but time will tell.
