Samples Lose Sounds????!!!!!!!!

Why is it that i put a sample in and i chop it and convert and the left side or ride side is missing the sound that would com in is gone...does n e one understand

I'm guessing that you are using akai Operating System 2.1. When you chop in with OS 2.1, your samples are converted to mono, which could result in "losing sounds". The only way to keep you sample in stereo if you are going to chop it on the MPC is to:

1. Instead of using the CHOP feature, you can cut up your sample using EXTRACT. Kinda sucks, but it will keep it stereo.

2. Install one of the JJ OSes. He fixed and greatly improved chopping on the MPC.

How do you get the password? i want to buy the newest one today. finally got some loot.

click on the 'out of japan' payment link, and follow through the options. you need to download the latest version, and install it on your mpc, then mode + Pad3 to see the product ID, you then input that number on the payment page, and send payment to him. you should recieve an email within 24hours with the password. you then put that into the mpc on the mode pad3 page et voila!
