1st Beats made w/ MPC 1k...

Hey yall I copped on of these suckers and just made about 4 beats with it... they are posted at

check em out and tell me that the mpc 1k doesnt sound any diff. than the 2k... I own both... great machine!

however...

too much swing...things do not sound as tight when you swing them like tarzan.

keep things on beat as well.

sometimes your kicks are off too much or your snares are out of time.

i know the groove you are going for...but you need more practice.

Which ones are made with the 1000 and which ones are made with the 2kxl

nice beats. the 1000 and the 2kxl sound the same tho. i don't hear any big difference.

How can you tell which is which^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^?

well i figured that the first one is the 1k that the others were on the 2k. but after listening to most of them i cant find a different drum sound.

I thought the kicks and snares were off in certain instances as well. Keep at it!

yeah your swing is a bit wild at times but I can't talk though bu "dien young" was so good it threw it through the monitor and we sparked a freestyle session for real! I would seriously contiplate buyin that one. "it ain't over" and "49th soul" are honorable mentions. Dead or alive would make just blaze proud, but I will warn you, the "I be there" motown sample is too noticable and If someone buys it and drop an album they could be in trouble. keep up the good work, I am starting to become a fan of some of my fellow forum members.

thanks guyz... yeah the swing is a little off sometimes... ill calm down after a while im sure. The first 3 beats are mpc 1k... really no difference in sound! Once they are mixed/mastered... itll be all the same, i think!? Thanks for the feedback! There are a lot of dope guyz on this forum, I think we should drop a mix tape and get the ish hyped!
