Just my imagination?

I've had my 1000 for several months now and what i want to know is why this thing does not "groove" like my friends older 2000xl.I can input 16th note hihats in his with the quantise off and they'll be dang near perfect but when i do them in my 1000 they are ridiculous.It's like my timing is bad which i know it's not.

Anyone else notice this?

yeah i know its not too. its all your imagination. unless your power fluctuates quite a lot! or indeed if you have tons of data recorded to the pattern...
