PLEASE I BEG YOU midi help

how do i midi up with motif to use it as a sequencer mpc as controller
i need exact settings , cause i cant understand the manual i read it ten times with my fathers help i knwo i sound lame but once i get it once ill always know . i have audio out of mpc going to mbox so what else do i need ? liek midi out of mpc into moitf or out of motif into mpc midi ? and what is my setting s ? omni ab or off or what please any help woud be great ! thx

Aiight, first merry Christmas and enjoy the MPC, you're like me it's my first MPC ever but I've been using mine for a couple of weeks now. I got mine hooked up to a Triton. You want one midi from MPC into the Motif, and one from the Motif into the MPC (two cables going opposite ways). Then you can send one from the 2nd MPC out to a PC etc if you want.

Now, I can't say that this is THE way to do it, but I've got mine working this way. Go to Mode - Midi and set your Active Receive Channel to 'All'. Then set your Soft Thru to 'Omni-AB'. Return to your main screen, set up a midi track (turn off the program, set type from 'drum' to 'midi'). Then go to the midi part (set to 'off' by default) and flick through the channels till you get one that works. For some reason none of my '1s' work, I have to use '2s'. Hope this helps get you on your way, I can't help with the Motif side of things but if it's anything like my Triton you won't have to touch that anyway.

ok cool!! i got them midi d together ? but !!!! i can only hear mpc sounds i can trigger them with both machinces but cannot hear the motif souinds ? ? ? ? ? ? what is teh problem ?? ?? ? ? i wnat to be able to trigger motif sounds with teh mpc 1000

this sux ! i only have one input on mbox thast why i wasnt hearing em ! so now i took my output of mpc1000 and went into audio in of motif and audio out of motif into mbox i hear em both but major echo from sounds of mpc !!! so i guess ill have to get a mixer !! this sux
