MIDI in's and outs

im new to music production so please excuse for for my dumbness

the MPC 1000 has 2 x MIDI in and 2 x MIDI out

but if you want to hook up more MIDI devices up to your setup, what do you use..........(is there some multi MIDI adaptor device on the market)

just like a socket plug adaptor is??

yes you can buy a buy a midi thru box from this place:http://www.philrees.co.uk/products/thruunit.htm
but you should be able to daisy chain a decent amount of synths before you get noticeable latency. My friend has a serious gear lust and he has about eight devices going into his mpc.
