Beat to Laptop???

How to record into a pc/laptop...


i have the chords the converters, mpc 1000, a headphone plugin and a microphone plugin on my laptop and cool edit pro...what do i need to do to get my beat into the computer

Select the main out option in MPC record mode, record the whole thing as an extended .wav file, save to MPC HD/CF and transfer the whole file over to the computer via USB.

You would need a line to mic pad or a mixer capable of mic level output to record directly into the computer mic input in realtime. However, given the poor quality of 90% of built-in laptop sound hardware, I have a feeling that it won't be worth the trouble and extra expense.

Otherwise, you would need an external sound card.
