Mpc auto assign drums with HD?

Ive seen a few vids on youtube with produces like needlz and just blaze who scroll through sounds not missing a beat.

If i buy a hardrive to hold my sounds samples. Will my mpc auto assign my kicks to 16 pads.....the same with snares crashs, cymbals, and so on?

P.S. Im talking hundreds of sounds....i also noted that these guys had keyboards....and may have used the mpc as a slave.....but how the hell did the mpc auto-assign all those sounds....and where are they stored. Kthx!

sounds like they may have been using a sound module in the videos you've seen

didnt think about that....which means the hardrive is nothing more than a storage device....would still have to make programs and such.
