MPC 1000 And MIDI Problem

I've just recently got an mpc 1000 and i'm having problems with the midi interface, my set up is midi keyboard into the mpc then the mpc into my pc. i'm using reason 3 and everything works fine, until it comes to recording, while i'm recording everything sounds ok, but when i play it back its all out of time, at first i thought i was making mistakes but when i put a drum track down using samples off the mpc its in time. but any midi i play through it, bits of it fall out of time. is there a setting that sets up the response time between hardware? the only thing i can think of is maybe theres a delay from when i press the key on the keyboard. any help would be great

turn off timing correct on your mpc for the reason tracks.
