How come when I assign a sample to a certain pad it sounds different than when I assign it to a different one. I tried tweeking the levels and tune but most of them just sound horrible and distorted. On some pads it will sound good though, I don't get it.

Another issue I am having is when I try recording a sequence, say a drum pattern, I will play it back and it is totally offbeat from what I was actually playing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yo, check your timing correct for that second question. If you have timing correct set to 1/8, and then you play a drum beat with sixteenth notes, it will sound like crap. As far as the first question goes what do mean by "sounds different". I'm from Maine too, and I'd like to help but I'm not sure what you mean...

EDIT: Wow, the word C R A P is seriously filtered out? Who would possibly offended by that?

Thanks for the tip, I will try it out.
What I mean is, I'll try a sample on one pad and it will sound fine, then I'll try putting the same sound on a different pad and it will sound either distorted, fuzzy, or the tone will be way off. Its like I have to try a sample on every pad to find the one that sounds good. And like I said before, ive messed with the leveling and tone and its all in check, I don't know whats up. Ive tried making 3 programs so far, and each one has at least a few pads that would make the sample sound like krap. But I know the pads are good because the factory sounds would come in fine.
