mpc1000 os2.10 trouble

i just got my mpc recently. and ive been lookin on the akai website on how to upgrade to new os2.10...soo i did it STEP BY STEP too a T...and at the part when it says on the directions too press the REC button to start processsin the update n will then reebot...but the only thing is i push the rec button.n it started processin ..then it jus went too a blank screen..and its been like that for the last 10 minutes..is thatpart of the process n rebooting goin on still or did my mpc jus freez on me.?

ok soo after 20 minutes of sitttin here n a blank screen is on..i just said f***k it n turnd the thing off ...funny cause now when i tryed to turn it back on NOTHIN LOADS up...i got a blank screen can anyone help me....?

Try the install again. If it doesn't work try loading a different version of the OS on there like 1.07.
