I am the proud owner of a 2500 but I have been kicking around picking up his little brother mainly for portability and traveling purposes, would be much easier to tote around.....

So other then say ebay any one know where to grab a 1000 for a good price? I prefer to buy new unless a great deal on something used came up...and I also would like the black version V.S. the blue....

Any input would be highly appreciated, just trying to save a buck if possible....

yea the 500 has crossed my mind many of times and I LOVE the fact that it is battery powered....but my downfalls were pads and more so the screen size...those kind of turned me off from it, I don't want to have to re-learn a layout just to work with the small screen, so I figured the 1000/2500 are pretty much the same unit in a sence but the 1000 would just be much easier to toat so I figured I would go that route...

now had it been 16 pads and standard size screen (tilt?), wheeeew it would be on my desk already lol....

I heard a new mpc was supposed to drop soon, any truth to that..?? I already have my eye on the mpk... 8)

damn, an mpc with 16 full size pads, tilt screen, battery powered, vga output, on board cd-rom and firewire compatability and just slightly bigger then the 500 ok now im dreamin haha....

thanks for the links nicole!!

you can get 1000's for $800 brand new on ebay. i'm the same as you... i use the 2500 as my main joint but just got the 1000 for at home and travelling. i love it for what it is but when i go back to the 2500 it's nice to have the real mpc pads and the numeric keypad. other than that it does all of the same things as far as programming.

$481 USD plus shipping, which still came out less than 495
