mpc 1000 problem

what up everybody Im new to this mpc 1000 i got one off of ebay and i have a problem with my compact flash when I try to load something it tells me to add a flash card but it is already one in there if anyone can help me please respond thanks in advance

2 things I would check...But I'm new to this...

If it's a new CF card did you format the CF card to the MPC before using it for any thing to do with MPC ... BUT hang on because if this is the card that has factory samples + sequencers then DO NOT FORMAT because that will erase what you have on it...

Check to see that the 50 odd pins in the slot are still pointing straight out...Hopefully their all OK...

I think these are dumb answers but what the heck it got you bumped...
