If i get a harddrive???

Hello my fellow mpc 1000 users i wanted to know if i was to buy a 80 g harddrive would i need my compact flash to download sounds still because one of the pins in my cf slot has broken and my cf cards want work so someone please help me out

no you dont need the cF card still if you buy a harddrive, you can upload sounds to your harddrive via either sampling analog or by using the usb port. I'd check ebay though you might be able to find a cf card drive cheap on there too.
