Problem? MIDI file loaded as sequence has fluctuating tempo

I downloaded up a .mid off the internet and loaded it into the MPC as a sequence in order for it to be replayed by the MPC in conjunction with a VST on my computer

Anyways, when I load it up and press play the tempo should be 155, but as its playing during some portions a second tempo indicator will pop up below the regular one and the tempo will fluctuate from around 148-153 briefly, then revert back to 155.

Has anyone ever had anything like this happen, and do you know what the cause of it is? It's pretty annoying too, because any track you layer over the midi track will also be affected by the tempo change during those portions and it makes it sound off.

Download that midi file and check it out, see if the the same thing happens to you. I'm using JJ 4.6

Just loaded the file into cubase, looked at it in the list editor. There are midi messages to control the tempo in it. Go to step esit and change the data type shown to "tempo", there it is. Just delete.

Yup, they had. I don't know why they did though, it made it sound like ass. But I got it all worked out, why isn't there a 'Delete All' in the step edit screen though - it kind of sucked going through 40 something bars of tempo changes and deleting them one by one.

Press "erase" and select "tempo", that should do the trick.
