MPC 1000 compatibility w/ AKAI MFC42 Analog Filter

does anyone know whether or not the AKAI MFC42 Analog Filter is compatible with the 1000?

i know it is with the other models (60, 2000, etc) and i'm wondering if it will work with the 1000 as well.

some opinions or help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

How does the mfc connect to the other machines, physically, how?

Does the 1k have the same type of connections, what exactly are those connections?

Answer that and you may come across your own answer.

Its a filter... its compatible with everything that has a sound output... turntables, mixers, mpc's, sp xox's, etc. what do you mean?

thanks for the replies. i wasn't trying to ask a stupid question. my bad if it came out that way. i just have zero experience using external filters. i've only messed with the ones in my 1000. i heard a friend of mine talking about the MFC and i was just curious.

the mfc42 also has midi triggerable envelopes too, so it helps to have midi outs on your mpc. (just as well it came with some!)
