Even pads that still have sensor glued to them wont respond

What is going on! If I take these sensors off and glue them to the pads, will that help for a while?

O.k. I went and got the G.E. glue from the 22 page site and glued all of my sensors to the anderside of the pads. I really hope this works. Antonym and monophonic made this serious mod a breeze. THANK YOU BOTH VERY MUCH. Anonym, how long did your mod last? I deffinately want to get your best kit, just tell me I'll never have to fix them once I install your new pads. I can't even begin to imagine how you learned to pour your own molds... Akai should put you on the payroll.

depending on how you did it/what glue i'd say you have a month of pretty good performance, then you'll start noticing the same thing.

i don't think my kit will need repairs. i do want to improve the mold design cosmetically, but that's more for prissy purposes. the way i've got my pads in my machine right now is really good and reliable - no ghost notes or places where it's really difficult to hit the pad. however, for some molds, it takes a little bit of troubleshooting and "spacing" - but this really depends on the mold, the installation job, and the user's playing style. there's a small amount of user calibration as of right now, but it is a mod after all.

i've done my damndest to look after weak spots in my design and take care of them. as of now the weakest part is in the imprecise nature of a handmade mold - but that is nothing that gets in the way of playing the new pads.

I'm not too concerned with the cosmetics, as long as it looks alright. I've got to do something. I've tested the MOD just a little bit today, still letting the glue dry. It seems to have worked to some extent. Some of the pads work really easily, while others take a little more preasure. It's deffinately better than it was though. I can't tell you how dissapointed I am with Akai. Especially seeing that they are still selling the 1000 having never fixed the problem. These machines should all be recalled. Don't get me wrong, I love the machine, but I really don't think it's too much to ask to have them work properly. The first piece of musical equipment I ever owned was an Akai AX60 keyboard. I treated it well, and it lasted almost twenty years until I sold it. I'm afraid my last piece of Akai equipment may just be the 1000. SORRY, I guess I just trailed off there... Anyways, If I order the $150 kit, will it be sent ou right away? Also, I didn't really understand what you wrote about the pads. Could you just send me one that fits in properly. I'd prefer the whiter ones, but if your having more luck with one of the other colors, that would be fine. My ZIP is 44241.
