Card Issues

Hey all-
I'm a relatively new MPC user, i've become pretty comfortable with the 1000 but i'm not fully acclaimated yet to it's many eccentricities....anyway i'm having a card issue- last week made a bunch of samples, saved them to the MPC branded CF card that came with my unit, and threw it into a card reader on my mac- which i've done many times before- to tweak sounds. No problem there. When i've got the card in the mpc, the machine WONT BOOT....hangs on the (128MB installed) screen. my mac won't recognize the card now either. if i put the card the drive when it's on the main screen, nothing happens. when i go to the load screen...instant freeze. can anyone give me some clarity? i've got good sounds sitting on that thing....

make sure the .wav file is 16-bit @ 44.1kHz... i don't have a mac so i don't know if it changes the CF card's FAT system or anything but maybe a reformat of the CF card might fix the issue... i can't remember off the top of my head but maybe the 1k is picky when it comes to 'mono' and 'stereo' .wav files... sorry, hope that helps...
