Pads are Doing Funny Things

So the pads all seem to work fine and are functional, but I find that once I assign a sample to certain pads they are either super quiet or just perform in weird ways, such as panning from left to right depending on where you hit it. Does this make sense?

Now does this mean the pads are messed up, or is there some sort of filter applied to the pad that needs to be turned off? Because all the pads seem to work fine when I'm in editing mode.

Any help would be appreciated. It's insanely annoying.

No worries... Figured things out.

Pads had pans and effects all over them. Just went to the mixer screen and turned all the filters and such off.
