Taken from the Akai MPC 1000 User Manual:

" Data compatibility...MPC4000 SEQ..."

Sorry, tried loading a SEQ file done in the 4K onto the 1000 and got an error message: "WRONG FILE"

This is blatant false advertising. I know this is nothing new for Akai and the 1000 has a lot of great features but I am sick of Akai advertising features and other specs and not delivering on them. They did it with the 4000, which is also a great machine by the way, but still has not implemented all the original advertised features/specs to this day. Correct me if I am wrong

As a company you have a responsibility to come through on what you put out there.

You all have probably heard this type of rant a million times, but how long are we as consumers going to give Akai our hard earned money and take it up the you know where when they decide to put something on the market that does not have what was promised, even if it's a simple data compatibility feature that could make all of our lives easier????

Maybe I am doing something wrong, but once again tech support is only open from 8:30 to 4:30pm EST and I am on the west coast. So here I am frustrated, can't call tech support because they are closed, and holding my MPC in my hand with nothing to do but b*tch to you.

Jeez, at least outsource your after hours tech support calls to India, if you are too cheap to give your consumers a decent time window to contact you. Most producers have a day job and work at night, hint hint.

Ok I'm done, that felt better.
