easy way to do this:

1- turn on mpc
2- enter trim mode
3- delete all samples
4- delete all sequences except 1
5- delete all songs
6- set your default tempo on seq1
7- save entire memory to a new folder on your hd or mem card
8- load that one whenever you need a blank slate. this will flush all existing stuff in your ram.

I had the same problem and somebody gave me this tip :

When you turn on the MPC you got an empty template, just go to MODE>SAVE and choose SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY, save it to a NEW TRACK folder or whatever you want.

When you want to start a new project just go to MODE>LOAD and load this project and all the memory will be cleaned.

You got it?

EDIT : Sorry I just seen Antonym's post :?
