bass and kicks

i still cant get my kicks and bass to sound clean on top of each other with only two effects to use thats not enough i need compressr and eq for each and be able to add reverb to other things.another thing when u go to select effect the number goes up to 20 why is this can u put more effects what is this for?????

hint: do your outboard (or DAW) mixing to get the sounds EQ'd and compressed, then render and load in the MPC.

alternately, resample using the (albeit limited) effects within the 1k.

Are you using a kick or a bass drum?
