is my mpc1000 broken?

i've had my mp1000 for all most 2 years now and have had no problems, all of a sudden for the last 2 3 days when i click mode load, or mode record it goes back to the main screen......... if i try to trim samples all of a sudden i touch a pad and it goes back to the main screen... its never done this before what should i do? i cant work on any beats its killing me some1 shoot me some advice
