Tempo Change in 2.11

I recently downloaded Mpc OS 2.11 for the MPC 1000!!! I started composing a track after installing. I had three sequences and i went to song mode to convert them to one sequence! Althought one was of a different tempo that should be ok because i've done it before and it just puts a tempo change in! But now no matter what i do the tempo changes to 30.0 even thought it's meant to go to 95.0 from 96.0!!! i've tried going into the tempo list in step edit this didn't work and i can't select the new tempo on the main screen what the hell is going on???

please describe your exact process, whether or not you're using tempo change note entries, etc.

Basically i have three different sequences, 2 are 96bpm and one is 95bpm! i want to convert them to one sequence so i go to song mode as in MODE PAD16! I put my three sequences in the order i want starting with the two 96's. then i select convert this puts them into a new sequence. When i have done this before an automated tempo change occurs. This still happens although it changes to 30.0 bpm and there is no way to change it on the main page. i go to the step edit and at the top i change the view to TEMPO this shows the correct tempo change at the correct time!!! So i have know idea!!! Although i have discoverd one thing: say if i want my tempo change on 009.01.00 (bar 9) if i change it to 009.01.01 it works!!! but still this is very strange!!! seems to me that there is some setting that makes the tempo change data monophonic or some thing because when i erase all the pad data from the seqence the tempo change is correct??? Defo could be a 2.11 bug???

Yeah man, this shit is pissing me off!
I have been using my MP for about a year now and Ive read about and used it enough times to make a complete song and feel 100% confident that its not user error in this situation.
What gets me is that Akai releases this update like its supposed to be a help to its users and its really just a joke!
I dont understand why Akai has let the programming and engineering dept go down the tubes lately?....It seems like ever since Numark bought Akai they have been putting out shittier quality.

are they all just 1 static tempo til the next sequence? ie, seq 1 stays at 72.5 til seq 2 when it suddenly changes to 89.2?

Well, I ended up reverting back to Akai's os2.10 - and the problems solved, however, I think Akai needs to take their heads out they ass real soon cuz that kinda stuff is takin its toll on its user base. I mean, people shell out a G for the lowest model with the most capabilities at that price point and then get shafted on the software prgming! Shits ridiculous.

Uhhmmm.... I think the problems have been going on a little longer than that or they wouldn't have gone bankrupt and been bought out in the first place.

... but this just proves it's still not getting much better.

I almost can't believe people are trying to use 2.11 for anything more than a quick peek and laugh...

this is a good find. i get the same problem with my track when i convert it to a sequence, shit is stuck at the change up at 30bpm. ill email akai and see what they say ill post what they write back in a new thread though

Aye what kills me even more is that after I reinstalled the older OS and then proceeded to make a pretty dope beat that I spent at least a good hour or two on - i **** go back to peep the beat out that I made later to have a quick listen and to my surprise about 1/3 of the samples miraculously became corrupted!?....I swear Ive never encountered so many issues with my MPC before! Shit is got me bugged right now!
Im bout ready to just buy that frickin JJ os pretty soon, this is a joke.
