Hello Everyone. I saw ants how to on fix the 1ks pads, but I wanted to know does anyone have a picture tutorial like that showing how to fix one pad on the 1k. Does anyone have any tips about soldering, or any tips on where to order the pads from(vst or somewhere else)? Much appreciated.

but hes talking about soldering them, not putting some stuff inbetween the pad and sensor.

By the way.

If you have a soldering gun, some resin also..Google some tutorial videos.

ITS REALLY SIMPLE, all it is, is 2 tiny wires. Unfortuanly the new pads dont come with the wires pre-installed.

Just open it up.

Unplug the dead pad..

Take the solder gun and heat up the dead pad to take off the wires.

Use some more solder wire and some resin.

Connect them to the new pad.

And install.

And thats about it.

If i were to make pictures you would be thinking its EASY!!!

It really is.

yeah it's really damn easy to solder these things. just make sure you trim the cables down when you take the cable from the original dead pad so there's a clear contact. also, don't let the solder from contact 1 hit contact 2, or you'll end up with a pad that's ALWAYS note on at 127 velocity! and that's not what you want.
