My MPC is attacking me

just had my 1000 shipped from LA to NY, and it was fine when I plugged it in... but over the weekend, something has gone terribly wrong. All the pads are triggering all the time... endlessly. I've turned it off, unplugged it, over and over... even restarted it holding "erase" to restore factory settings... still no luck. Anybody ever hear of this? Endless pad triggers, impossible to use... just keeps going and going, wont respond to any commands.

never heard of it.... thats crazy... try returning it/replacing the pads/buy mine.

I've heard of it. I happened to another list member when a protruding internal screw started touching somewhere and shorting out the circuit board.

I don't have the link to that one so somebody else will have to chime in with that info. Or maybe you can find it with the search... Try keywords like "screw" "short" etc.
