Loading Sounds properly

Ok i didnt know how to put all this into a topic, so heres my questions. When i save all my sequences to my memory card, it saves fine. But when i turn the MPC off and back on and load the sequence i was working on, it doesnt have all the sounds i used. It only saves the sounds from the pre loaded sounds. Not the sounds i loaded from my Memory card. Each time i have to right down what sounds i used, what pad, the level it was at and re record it. Very Frustrating. What am i doing wrong, how do i fix this? Thanks a lot.!!

Saving a sequence won't save your sounds. Sequences are just midi information telling your mpc what pad to trigger and at what velocity etc, etc.

Are you saving programs? Program files save what pad has what sample assigned to it as well as filter settings etc.

You need to save programs, samples and sequences.

i made the same mistake when i 1st got my mpc, man was i pissed.....

lol, damn....ok. No i was just saving the Sequences. and when id go back to finish a song up, only the "stock" sounds would be on it and id have to basically do it all over again. So just save the all programs and sequences huh....Thanks
