I found Different types of PC 133 144 pin cl3 sodimm ram in 256 MB size...My question-b4 i order some ram off the net and get stuck with the wrong kind...Is- does it matter how many chips are on the RAM? I seen ones with 64x4( 2 on each side) then i seen ones with 4 32 MB chips on each side...Does it matter which one i get? If not is one better, or more reliable than the other? I notice the Akai exm has 2 64MB chips....ust need to know...Going to order my RAM as soon as i get some answers. Thanx in advance....

As long as the ram is evenly distributed on both sides (128 on either side) than I don't see why it wouldn't work. The MP only reads 1 side of the ram so as long as you got 128 mgs worth of memory on that side, I think you should be cool. Newegg's return policy is cool so if you wanna have the chance to return it, I'd use them. Copped some stuff from them before then decided I didn't want it (after I opened it) and they return it easy.
