access the hdm-10 80g via USB???????????????

hey guys, does anyone know about accessing the hdm-10 via usb on the compoota?? whats the deal? iv got the 80g HD, and i cant see it on my comuter, just wondering if the new OS will fix that. also when and where can i get the best and latest OS's. thanks

the best and latest os ...check the section marked jjos ,it really is much better than the akai version...the usb disk access works a treat and is pretty simple

You have to put the MPC in USB mode before you can see any connected drives on a computer. Should work in either OS, but the Akai job is more annoying that way (requires a disconnect when not in use)

The OS on the computer also has to be reasonably compliant with the USB mass storage standard.
