how to save on a 100 gb toshiba drive? and questions...

i just installed my 100 gb hard drive on my mpc 1000... anything i need to do before i can start saving things to it? it doesn't seem to recognize it in the Save page of the mpc--when it says Save To : Hard Disk, the free space is 0 mb--is this normal?
when saving "entire memory" will this save individual samples, programs, effects, etc. that have never been saved before--this is a confusing part that i don't really understand.
also, is it possible to drag samples from a PC onto my 100 gb hard drive, or do i have to put it onto the CF card first ?

format the drive,yes saving all does as it says on the tin...it saves the lot,and yes you can drag samples to the hd from your computer...pretty groovy yes?...its all pretty straight forward ,it will become clear once you have formatted the disk and pressed a few of the buttons...that is of course you have a drive that works with the mpc...

The same way you format a card but, select Hard Drive instead of Memory Card.
