i just got this whole batch of vintage drum sounds and loaded them into my mpc1000 kits via mpc187's program builder. loaded a few up on my mpc and for about half of the kits it won't play any sound. when i go to edit the sounds in the 'program' function, it inserts a question mark in front of the file name and says that the file is not found.
im building and loading the kits exactly like ive done in the past, but this error has never popped up...
i know this error sometimes appears when there is not enough internal memory to load the samples, so i tested it out just loading one kit (less than 1MB) and it still doesnt work. ive got the internal memory expansion too, so that really shouldnt be an issue.
files are all in WAV format.
any ideas? when i get it working ill gladly share the kits.
